Hugh Fraser Vancouver, British Columbia
Hugh formed the Vancouver Ensemble
of Jazz Improvisation (VEJI) in 1980, and The Hugh Fraser Quintet from
1987.
As a trombonist, Hugh is a 5 time winner of Toronto’s National Jazz Awards as
Canada’s Trombonist of the Year. Toured and
recording of Slide Hampton’s “World of Trombones” and Kenny Wheeler’s
release of “Music for Large and Small Ensemble” recording and UK tour.
